Coal Board Medicals
Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme / Pre-Employment Health Assessment
Dr Bartels spent considerable time working in central and north Queensland and still has a close relationship with rural areas. He has firsthand knowledge of the black coal industry and the demands made on workers in this field.
All mine workers, and many subcontractors that visit mining sites, are required to undergo a Coal Board Medical (Section 4) prior to employment within the mining industry. The Coal Board Medicals can only be completed by a Nominated Medical Advisor (NMA).

Pre-employment
Different organizations have different requirements for their pre-employment medicals so when booking in for this it is helpful to have copies of the necessary forms forwarded to the practice prior to the appointment so that we can ensure we are able to fulfill all the requirements. If the company is paying for the medical they will need to contact the practice so that appropriate payer details can be recorded.
Please fill in the Coal Board Medical Form before your visit.
