Regular childhood vaccinations are vital in the prevention of avoidable diseases and their spread in the community.
These routine well-baby visits can also provide an opportunity to carry out developmental checks to identify any areas of concern. Recognizing potential problems early, especially in areas such as speech, hearing and development of gross and fine motor skills, means the best possible outcome can be achieved.
